We love this restaurant to eat in and take away - the food is excellent. The decor in the restaurant is lovely especially the ornate tables and the service we have had has always been good. Particularly recommend the Thai elephant special starter to share and the massaman lamb curry with coconut rice is also a firm favourite. Would definitely recommend to anyone for any occasion.

Having been to the restaurant on a number of occasions now and with 2 bookings in the near future I think it's fair to say this is my favourite restaurant in Street.
The food is wonderful and the service friendly and efficient. It does get busy so worth booking in advance where possible. Even on a busy Saturday night we've never had problems with long waits for food, hopefully the sign of a well organised kitchen.

Very friendly, great food, very filling so be careful not to each too much. reasonable prices for the food and the drinks were a good price. we shall return for another meal soon and have since had a takeaway which was good as well.

My boyfriend and I took my mum here for her birthday and we had a fantastic meal with lovely, attentive service. We are new to the area and had had takeaways before and only had one that wasnt so nice, but overall amazing place and stunning food. Been to Thailand myself and this is the closest I have got to traditional Thai cuisine

Visited here tonight and the food was simply stunning. There were four of us, all having different mains. These arrived beautifully presented and steaming hot. The service was wonderful and accommodating. We will definitely being going back on a regular occurrence.

We went here for a birthday; 8 of us. All agreed the food was delicious. A good selection to choose from. Good portion sizes. The staff were helpful and friendly. The interior was very nicely decorated. There is a small outdoor area; not to eat in, but to relax in (good for smokers) Within easy walking distance, at the end of the town. I would recommend!

I booked a table here as there were 6 of us and it was a good job I did as it was so busy. The service was amazing indeed. They couldn't have done any more for us. The food was amazing too. Great flavours and good sized portions. Excellently priced too.

This is a lovely family Thai restaurant providing consistently enjoyable food. The last time I went, their Thai green curry with jasmin rice was excellent and the separate flavours were well balanced. The choice of drinks is good and reasonably priced and the service very attentive

We were visiting Somerset for four days this week. Did some restaurant research before we went and we were definitely not disappointed with our choice. Good food, lovely surroundings and very pleasant and helpful staff so we booked for a second visit. Both times the restaurant and the takeaway were pleasantly busy giving a good atmosphere but food coming in a timely fashion. Would advise you book

This restaurant was recommended to me by a work colleague and I was so grateful. Gorgeous food and the service was brilliant very friendly. It is a small restaurant so booking is probably a good idea. Yet to return but we shall be soon!

I was really pleased with the food that was served in the restaurant, the tables were looking beautiful and the customer service excellent. Everyone should visit the restaurant at least once because the food was unforgettable and the cleanliness was at a really high standard. Special thanks to the blonde waitress that was talking a really fluent language and helped us choosing the food, everything that she chose for us in the menu was formidable. We keep going back! We love the food here, great selection and the flavours are really good! Getting addicted to Singha beer also, love it! Its one of our favourite restaurants and the staff are really friendly and attentive. Thoroughly recommend it.

The elaborately carved tables and chairs and wall adornments make it very inviting and we were not let down when it came to the food. The service was attentive and food served in good time. Would definitely recommend.

My partner and I had dinner in the Thai Elephant last Thursday. We normally get takeaways from there as the food is consistently full of flavour, fresh and good value. But for a change we decided to eat out, we were not disappointed as the restaurant is clean, and staff friendly. There were plenty of other people in the restaurant on a wet Thursday evening in Street which is a good sign! Thai is my favourite cuisine and I've not found a local restaurant which matches the quality of the Thai Elephant. Looking forward to returning soon to have my favourite Thai Green Curry!

Although very busy we had a lovely meal on New Years eve with excellent service. Fresh ingredients very well cooked and beautifully presented, an extensive menu for carnivores and veggies alike, and good value for money. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend to anyone looking for outstanding Thai food.

I looked to see if there was a website for the TE as I wanted the phone number to book a table. I was pleased to see that not only was there a website but you could also write a comment. I have visited this restaurant many many times because it is simply the best restaurant in the area! The food is great [tasty, healthy, nicely cooked and presented, good value] the drinks are reasonably priced, the whole restaurant is nicely furnished and laid out and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The owner greets every customer as an old friend which makes you feel extremely welcome. I often meet friends eating here when I visit because we are all agreed it is 'simply the best'. When we want somewhere to go for a family celebration the Thai is always the top favourite. We will continue to visit this restaurant as everyone I know is in agreement that it is one of the best restaurants in the area.
